What We Do

Service to the Community

Each year the Georgetown Chorale selects a charity to support, and then raises funds for them through concerts and other activities in keeping with our mission to provide Community Service Through Music.

Over the past 20 years, the Chorale has raised more than $165,000 for community groups and supports a $1000 per year young musicians scholarship through the National Association of Pastoral Musician's Dosogne/Rendler-Georgetown Chorale Scholarship.

Some of our local beneficiaries include:

  • Washington Middle School for Girls
  • So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.)
  • Mentors, Inc.
  • Martha's Table
  • Lazarus House
  • Zest, Inc.
  • Georgetown Visitation Monastery Chapel
  • Refugee Voices
  • Our Lady of Victory School Minority Scholarship
  • National Association of Pastoral Musicians Scholarship
  • Garden of Healing at Georgetown University Hospital
  • St. Malachy's Church in Philadelphia

To continue its goal of service to the community, and to honor the requests for benefit concerts by various community groups, the Chorale conducts its annual fund raising campaign. We are asking you, our friends and supporters, to help us in this endeavor. Please consider helping us with an on-line donation here. Thank you for your support!
